How Many AIIMS in India Before 2014?

Before 2014, only 7 AIIMS were built under Phase I and II of PMSSY: AIIMS New Delhi (1956), Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh (all these in 2012), and Raebareli (2013). After 2014, the expansion intensified and 19 new AIIMS were announced, such that the total number of AIIMS will reach 26 by 2025.
